Today, the Director General of Railway Protection Force (RPF), Manoj Yadava, unveiled the Sangyaan App, developed by the RPF Tech Team. The app is designed to provide comprehensive information on three new Criminal Acts: Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) 2023, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA) 2023. 

Its primary aim is to educate and empower RPF personnel with detailed insights into both new and existing criminal laws, emphasizing their relevance to RPF operations. Available on Android and iOS platforms, Sangyaan features intuitive navigation, a searchable database, and offline access, ensuring practical utility for staying updated on the latest legal developments in India.

1. Comprehensive Legal Access

   • Provides mobile-optimized access to the bare acts of BNS, BNSS, and BSA 2023, facilitating easy reading, searching, and referencing of these laws.

2. Comparison of Laws

   • Includes a Corresponding Sections Comparison table for users to compare specific sections of new and old laws, aiding in understanding changes and continuities in the legal framework.

3. Section-wise Analysis

   • Offers detailed analysis of key sections of BNSS and BNS, focusing on their practical application in field operations from various procedural perspectives.

4. Advanced Search Tools

   • Features advanced search functionalities allowing users to navigate legal texts section-wise, chapter-wise, and subject-wise for quick access to relevant information.

5. Inclusive Legal Database

   • Besides the new laws, the app encompasses essential legal acts and rules related to railway security, such as The Railway Protection Force Act, 1957, The Railway Act, 1989, and others, ensuring comprehensive coverage of pertinent legal information.

• The Director General also launched the ‘Handbook on Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023’ in e-book and print formats, detailing practical applications of the Act in RPF operations.
